Montesano Extremadura returns to Madrid Fusion 2020, come visit us!

Montesano Extremadura Iberian products will be present on 13, 14 and 15 January at the great global gastronomy event, the Madrid Fusión Reale Seguros congress, which is being held at IFEMA. During the event, the firm will have a 24 m2 stand where it will display its 100% acorn-fed Iberian products to the thousands of visitors who will attend this eighteenth edition.

Montesano Extremadura is returning for the second year to this summit of haute cuisine, after the success of its participation in the last edition. On this occasion, it will have a larger stand ( no. 14.1C120DE , behind Enofusion ), where it will welcome prescribers, chefs, journalists and its many friends. It will also have an exhibition area for its products, where you can enjoy the best ham cutting. It will be thanks to the arts of the master cutter Pedro Hernández, winner of the VIII Canary Islands Absolute Ham Cutting Championship - Montesano Group Grand Prize, held last May during the Gastrocanarias congress (Tenerife).

Montesano Extremadura is coming to this long-awaited event with its 100% Iberian acorn-fed hams as its flagship. Endorsed on three occasions (2016, 2017 and 2019) with the highest score, in the category of 'Exceptional Product', in the Superior Taste Awards organised by the International Taste & Quality Institute of Belgium. These awards are given after the blind tasting of more than 140 professionals of European haute cuisine. After the jury's deliberations, the 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham from Montesano Extremadura was defined as "a high-quality acorn-fed ham, with a smooth and refined texture, with good balance and a long flavour".

Along with its five-year-old hams, Montesano Extremadura will be exhibiting its other Iberian products , such as lomo , salchichón and Iberian chorizo . They will be accompanied by other of its star products such as lomito and the already famous Montesano folded lomo . The latter, a forgotten traditional Extremadura product that caused a sensation at Madrid Fusión 2019 .

The García Pascual family , owners of the Montesano Extremadura Iberian ham and sausage company, arrives at Madrid Fusión after a great year. Last year saw strong expansion for the company, which made a firm commitment to Asian markets, entering the emerging Vietnam and Malaysia . At the same time, the company managed to consolidate important strategic agreements with Enrique Tomás and El Corte Inglés.

In 2019, Montesano Extremadura has attended all the major events in haute cuisine in our country: Tast a la Rambla (Barcelona) , as a guest product in the VIP room of the event; San Sebastián Gastronomika where, together with chef Nacho Manzano , twice Michelin star, he co-sponsored the 1st National Congress of Pintxos and the Terrae Congress , held this December in Zafra (Extremadura) and Portugal.
