/wp:paragraph wp:paragraphThis new award, granted by a panel of chefs and sommeliers of the highest international level, consolidates Montesano Extremadura in the select club of the best acorn-fed Iberian products in the world.
The jury defined the piece as “Delicious natural flavour and lots of fragrance. Sweet, smooth with pleasant floral notes and hints of spices. Elegant and exquisite flavour that is truly impressive.”

With the added bonus that, if in 2024 it again achieves the maximum score of three stars, it will receive the world's top award: The Diamond Award, "the best of the best", as pointed out by the Institute itself.

With this new award of the highest organoleptic standards, awarded by a jury made up of 200 chefs and sommeliers from all over Europe (including El Bulli sommelier Ferran Centelles) from among more than 2,000 strictly evaluated products, 100% Iberian Montesano Extremadura ham is consolidated as one of the best gastronomic products on the planet.
