This award comes after having obtained the highest award , “ Three Star Taste Award”, for seven consecutive years, an achievement that places us in a unique and privileged position in the world of gastronomy. The Diamond Award not only celebrates the exceptional flavour of our ham, but also the meticulous craftsmanship and tradition that supports it. The jury, made up of 250 renowned chefs and sommeliers, including experts from such respected institutions as the Michelin Guide or Ferran Centelles, from the El Bulli Foundation , have defined our 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham as follows :Top quality ham, wonderful appearance, exceptional texture and spectacular taste. The jury has highlighted the Montesano 100% Iberian Bellota Ham for its precise regularity (seven years with the highest ratings) and its unique sensory characteristics . Behind this success is the García Pascual family , owner of Montesano Extremadura, dedicated to each step of the process of producing Iberian products. From the breeding of pure Iberian pigs in our pastures, through to long curing in natural cellars, to a comprehensive and sustainable vision of production, Montesano guarantees the highest quality in each piece.
